Mark Chapman

Mark is a 2013 graduate of Port Huron High School where he was a three-year starter at quarterback and was captain in his senior year. He led the team to a school record ten wins in 2011 and a MHSAA District Title. Mark was named the Gatorade Player of the Year and Metro PCS Mr. Football in 2012. Mark’s other accomplishments include:
- Ranked #9 in Detroit Free Press Fab 50 and #18 on Detroit News Blue Chip
list - Won Team MVP, Macomb Area Conference MVP, Prep Football Classic Outstanding Player Award
- Selected to the Detroit Free Press and the Detroit News Dream Teams
- Named to Associated Press Division 1-2 All State Team
- All MAC Team in both 2011 & 2012
- Led PHHS to MAC White Championship in 2012 and 3 straight Playoff
appearances 2010-2012 - In 2012, he rushed for 1,554 yards and scored 25 touchdowns, passed for 989
yards (71-133) and threw for eight touchdowns with just 1 interception - Totaled 5,033 yards, averaged 10.1 yards per carry
- Holds the school record of 150 points in 2011 and 363 points in his career
Mark graduated with a 3.75 GPA, earned 12 all academic awards in football, basketball, and track and field. He was a member of the National Honor Society and won the Michigan Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Award.
After high school, Mark received a full scholarship to Central Michigan University where he was a four-year letter winner. He received All-Academic and All-MAC honors in his stellar athletic and academic career.
In 2018, Mark was the #1 overall pick in the Canadian Football League draft.
