Scott Jamison

Born and raised in Port Huron, Scott Jamison is a proud 2001 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School and a 2005 graduate of Lake Superior State University. A standout student-athlete at PHN, Scott lettered for three years in basketball and two years in football.

At Port Huron Northern, Scott was a two-year captain of the basketball team and earned a long list of accolades, including two-time team MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and MAC-Red MVP during his senior season. That year, he helped lead PHN to a MAC Red league championship, a district championship, a school-best 22-3 record, and a trip to the regional finals, where they lost to the eventual state champions. He graduated as the second all-time leading scorer in school history, with over 1,000 career points, third in rebounds, and first in blocks. He set school records for most points in a game, blocks in a game, and blocks in a season. His basketball achievements also include multiple seasons earning All-Area First Team, All-Conference First Team, All-Metro East, and All-State honors.

In football, Scott excelled as a wide receiver, earning First Team All-MAC Red, All-Area, and All-Metro East honors. During his senior year, he set the school record for most receptions in a season and was selected as the team MVP. Equally accomplished academically, Scott graduated as the valedictorian of his class with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Scott continued his basketball career on a full athletic scholarship at Lake Superior State University, where he played for four years and was a three-year starter. He finished with 1,335 career points and ranked in the top 10 in school history for both rebounds and free throws made. His college accolades include being a two-time All-GLIAC Second Team selection, three-time GLIAC All-Academic Team member, team MVP, and recipient of the Cliff Everett Male Athlete of the Year Award. He was also named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.

Today, Scott lives in Fort Gratiot with his wife and high school sweetheart, Jackie, and their two children, Kayla and Logan. He remains dedicated to sports and his community, having coached numerous youth teams for his children and served for several years as an assistant coach for the PHN varsity basketball team with his brother, Brian.
