Troy Schneider

Troy Schneider was a standout multi-sport athlete at Port Huron Northern High School in the early 1990s, excelling in both football and basketball.

On the gridiron, Schneider was a three-year starter at quarterback, breaking most of the school’s passing records. He earned All-MAC Red honors all three years and received All-State recognition twice, including honorable mention and second/third team selections. As a senior, he was named All-MAC First Team and played in the East-West All-Star Game.

On the basketball court, Schneider was a three-year starter at point guard. He set school records in assists and steals and earned All-League and All-State honors like his football career.

After high school, Schneider headed to Central Michigan University to play football. When his football career ended, he returned to basketball and joined the St. Clair County Community College team for the 1995–96 season. Schneider was a tough, gritty player for the Skippers, known for being the ultimate competitor willing to do whatever it took to help his team win.

Troy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Michigan and is currently a teacher in Capac, Michigan. Schneider has also coached varying levels of basketball and football and enjoys spending time with his three kids.
