1964 Pollock-Jowett Women's Fastpitch Team

Pollock-Jowett was one of the best women’s fast pitch teams ever to come out of Port Huron. Prior to winning the Class “A” state tournament in 1964, the team won many city league tournaments and other state championships. The team was runner up in 1963 when they hosted the Class “A” state tournament before winning the title the following year.

The team also won the Women’s Class ‘A” state championship in 1965 and again in 1968. Prior to that they were the RMA champs in 1962, 1963 and 1964.

During the 1964, the Pollock-Jowett was the best defensive team in the state. In 21 games, they scored 199 runs to their opponents 33. The team handed out eight shutouts and were never shutout themselves. They had one perfect game and four no-hitters to their credit.
