Ben Boyd - Basketball, Baseball, Billiards, Tennis & Racquetball

Ben played three years of varsity basketball and baseball at Port Huron High School and two years of basketball at SC4. He then attended Central Michigan University where in 1964 and 1965, he won the College Regional Pocket Billiards Championship (MI, IN, OH). In 1965 he finished 2nd in the National Collegiate Tournament at the University on Minnesota. During his professional career, he won the Michigan Open State Championship in 1965 in Detroit and took 3rd in Midwest Sectionals. In 1966 he won the Michigan Christmas Classic in Lansing. In 1967 he won the Northern Michigan Open at Boyne City and in 1968 he played in the U.S. Open Pocket Billiards Championships. He played tennis and racquetball well enough to win championships and he won the YMCA sponsored Supersport Competition in 1978-79.
