Co-captain and halfback on undefeated 1937 PHHS football team. Captain of 1937-38 basketball team. Pitched, caught and played shortstop on outstanding local baseball and softball teams. Played two years on Cleveland Indian farm teams until knee injury forced his release. Starred on Grand Trunk baseball teams, on Jimmy Masters Port Huron Cardinals and with the Star Oilers. Great bowler. Outstanding baseball and softball umpire.
