Founder of the New York Titans, now named the New York Jets. One of the prime movers in formation of the American Football League, now part of the National Football League. All around athlete at Port Huron High School and St. John's Military Academy. Nationally famous as broadcaster of college football games. Recruited by University of Florida by coach Charlie Bachman. Moved with Bachman to Michigan State as number one quarterback. Forced out of football by injury.
