Born July 3, 1963 in Port Huron, Michigan

Although Jeff lettered in wrestling at Port Huron Northern in 1979, it is in baseball and softball that he has left his mark. In 1979 at Port Huron Northern he was first team All-EML (Eastern Michigan League) and 2nd team All-Area on a team that was runner up in the state tournament (23-6 overall). In 1980 he was 1st team all EML and All-Area. In 1981 he moved to Yale High School where he was the MVP of the Southern Thumb Association, and was 1st Team All-STA, All-Area and All State with the highest batting average of all All-Staters (.558). In 1982 he played for St. Clair County Community College and was selected first team All-Eastern Conference. He was drafted be the New York Yankees in June 1982 and played Minor League ball at Paintsville, Kentucky and Oneonta, New York.

He was a stellar player for many Port Huron Area Class A and Church League softball teams. In 1987 he was MVP of the Modified Softball Church League and in 1989 MVP in Modified Class A in Port Huron. In the summer of 1994 he played shortstop for the Port Huron Sharks, A Modified Champs (18-0 in league) 13th in National Tournament where he was selected to the All-Star Team. The Sharks, essentially the same group of players, finished 9th nationally in two prior years.

He has played for Colonial Woods Church in the Blue Water Church League (A) from 2003-2006 winning league and playoff championships in 2006.
