In 1962 when the Marysville basketball coach, Bob Sullivan, asked Pat to coach a group of youngsters who were not quite good enough to play varsity basketball, He got involved. He later coached Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball, each for four years, and he was a member of the Port Huron Township Little League Board for four years.
Pat was elected to the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association Board and held the position of treasurer for fourteen years and was the president for four years. He was the director of the Port Huron Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournaments for four years.
Pat has been president and CEO of the Flagship Credit Union for 25 years and Flagship has sponsored over a hundred sports teams in hockey, softball, bowling, volleyball and Little League.
Pat served as the treasurer of assistant tournament director of Silver Stick Hockey for six years and the last twelve years as director. In that time, he has seen the tournament go from 72 to 144 teams for 2007.
Pat and his wife, LeeAnn, reside in Marysville, MI.
