Robert Scheonrock - Shooting, Baseball, Football

A steady hand, a keen eye and a dedication to shooting sports has propelled Robert Scheonrock to being one of the premier trap shooters in the United States. A lifelong resident of the Port Huron area, Bob graduated from Port Huron High School in 1960. He played other sports as a youngster, baseball and football, but he became great at shooting a shotgun.

Bob has won or tried for the championships in over 50 tournaments, including three State Handicap or Singles Championships (1986, 1994 and 1996), State Doubles Championships in 1996, Great Lakes Grand Championships in 1988 and 1993. He was the number one shooter for the United States in the 1986 World Championship. In 1996 as the Michigan State Champion, Bob beat all of the other state champions at the World Trapshooting Tournament.

He is the Past President and a 16 year Board member of the Blue Water Sportsman’s Association. He has worked with students and teachers from area high schools to further the sport of trap shooting.

Bob, his wife Betty and their two children have traveled all over the country for 20 years to attend shooting tournaments and shooting became a family affair. Bob and his son Scott have won six Michigan State Parent/Child Championships.
