Tom Anderle

On May 24, 1935 Harry and Jean Pearce Anderle became the proud parents of twins, John Pearce Anderle and Thomas Pearce Anderle.   Both boys would become top athletes and scholars, graduating from Port Huron High School in 1953.

Tom graduated 10th in his class of 333 in 1953 and lettered in football, basketball and track for two years.  He was president of the Student Council his senior year.

He played guard on the basketball team (1952-53) which broke almost all previous records and averaged 58 points per game.  He played offensive and defensive end on the undefeated Port Huron High School football teams that were declared State Champs in 1951 and 1952.  In 1952 Tom was named to the first team All Eastern Michigan League and first team All-State Class “A” as an offensive end.   He was a co-captain of the team.

Tom graduated from the University of Michigan in 1956 with a Bachelor’s Degree and then served three years in the United States Navy attaining the rank of Lt. j.g.  He then attended and graduated from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles, California.   He practiced law in Santa Barbara, California for 40 years and was appointed by the Governor of California to be a Judge of the Superior Court for Santa Barbara County.  He has been reelected since.   He and his wife, June reside in Santa Barbara.
